Ms. Lorraine Marshall (12th Grade Counselor (M-Z)
Ms. Lorraine Marshall
Hello! I am Lorraine Marshall, one of the School Counselors for the Class of 2025. I cover students whose last names begin with M-Z. I also serve as the Service-Learning Coordinator and one of the 504 Coordinators for Smith High School. I grew up in New York, and received my undergraduate degree from Cornell University, and then my MBA from City University of New York. I have worked for Guilford County Schools as a Treasurer and Data Manager for almost 10 years. Three years ago, I went back to school for my Master’s in School Counseling, at NC A&T. I began my new career at Smith in August 2021 and have loved every minute of it. I live with my husband, my dog and two kitties in Reidsville. We have two grown daughters, Catherine, a school social worker in Oregon, and Elizabeth, a dentist in Wilmington, NC. We collect antiques and love walking in the woods, hiking, and birdwatching. I am passionate about travelling to foreign countries too. I love learning about new cultures and meeting new people. So far, I have been to Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Grand Cayman, Bonaire, Tobago, St. Lucia, England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Hong Kong, China, and Bali. Last summer, I was able to resume my world travel, spending two weeks in England. Stop in to see me whenever you need me!
