December 15-19 Weekly Update

Men of the Ben L. Smith community, you are invited to join us on Tuesday, December 16 for our male engagement event. We will begin at 10:00am in the media center. There will guest speakers and a light breakfast will be provided. This is for fathers, uncles, grandfathers, or any other male guardians. Contact Mr. Teasley for more information.

The ceremony to celebrate students that earned A Honor Roll, A/B Honor Roll and B Honor Roll will be on Wednesday, December 17 at 9:45am. Parents who are planning to attend should be in the media center prior to the beginning of the ceremony, which will begin at 10am. 

Please plan to attend our Winter Dance Concert on Wednesday, December 17 at 6:30pm. This event will be held in the BLS auditorium. Come and help us celebrate all the hard work our students have put in this semester.

The forecast for Sunday night and early Monday morning calls for wind chill temperatures in the single digits, so please make sure your children are dressed appropriately, with gloves, hats and coats that can be removed indoors.

I want to remind all of our families that we have a food bank at Smith High School as well as several community resources that can provide food. If you are in need, please contact our school social worker Mrs. Chhum or our Communities In Schools coordinator Ms. Ward.
